Katherine Brown, 84, died Saturday, July 10, 2004 in Borger.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 12 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend D. Jay Lewis, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion at Westlawn cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Brown was born on Sept. 15, 1919 in Shamrock to Howard and Myrl Leake. She had been a resident of Borger since 1947. She retired from Southern Union Gas Company as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace F. Brown in 1981; one son Don Brown in 2001; and one grandson Zane Brown in 1978.
She is survived by one son, Gene Brown and wife Jo of Enid, Okla.; one daughter-in-law, Marilyn Brown of Borger; one sister Zorene Carlisle of Ozark, Ark., four grandchildren Becky Beaudin of Manitou, Colo., Barbara Unruh and David Brown both of Enid, Okla., and Zac Brown of Borger and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 425 Dallas, TX 75251. The family will be staying at 904 Beverly in Borger.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons David Brown, Zac Brown, Steve Unruh, Chris Beaudin and Matt Beaudin.
