Miss Martha Myrl Gibson and Howard Leake were married February 4, 1917 in Memphis, Hall County, Texas. The couple had celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.
She was a wig groomer and homemaker.
She was member of the First Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include her husband of the Care Inn Nursing Home in Shamrock; three daughters, Zorene Carlisle of Cedarville, Arkansas, Mrs. Cornelia Gehrke of Stillwater, Minnesota, Mrs. Katherine Brown of Borger; one son, Felton Leake of Houston; a sister, Marzella Brumley of Downey, California; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
