Rites Here Today for John Hollingsworth, 83
Funeral services for John Preston Hollingsworth, 83, who died Saturday afternoon at his home in Lexington, were held at 2 O'clock this agternoon at Tempel chapel. Dr. James M. Stafford officiated, and burial was in Machpelah cemetery.
Mr. Hollingsworth had been ill six years. He was born October 16, 1869, in archison, Kans., son of Jacob and Hannah Sturgis Hollingsworth. He was married March 1, 1900, to Della Benefield, who died May 14, 1952.
He had lived in Lexington 60 years.
Survivors include a son, John Hubert Hollingsworth, Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Snell, of the home; a brother, Joseph H. Hollingsworth, Atchison, and a sister, Mrs. Mandy Pennington, Hydro, Okla. Five Grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren also survive.
