ALLISONIA, Va. — Karen Denise Marshall Goad, age 46 of Allisonia, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 3, 2007 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born October 26, 1961 in Pulaski she was the daughter of Lee Roy Marshall and Evelyn Diane Jarrells Marshall. Her grandparents; Albert Early Jarrells and Minnie Ada McGlothlin Jarrells and Stanley and Gracie Henley Marshall preceded her in death. She was a member of the Hiwassee Church of the Brethren. An employee for the Volvo Truck Company, she was a member of the Local UAW #2069 Women's Committee. Surviving are: sons, Steven Lee Cronk, Allisonia; Michael Aaron Goad, Riner, VA; parents, Lee Roy and Evelyn Diane Jarrells Marshall, Allisonia; special aunts, Barbara Turman, Allisonia; Joan Fowler, Dublin; Rhonda Surface, Dublin; Judy Ann Quesenberry, Hillsville, VA; Helen Brooks, Hillsville, VA; great-aunt, Margaret McGlothlin Jarrells, Pulaski; many cousins, family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Granville Bishop, Rev. Mike Hall, and Rev. Edith Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.
