COPPERTON--Verlo E. Kendrick, 74, our loved and respected husband, father and grandfather, died July 3, 1995, of complications following a stroke.

Born November 29, 1920, in Providence, Utah, to Frank H. and Louisa Egg Kendrick. Married Eleanor Gay Cushing in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 2, 1948.

Verlo was employed at Kennecott Copper Corp. for 41 years. He was a veteran of World War II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Member of the Catholic Church; also a member of the Utah State Firemen Association, Bingham Volunteer Firemen, Bingham Lions Club, American Legion, Town Council Chairman, chairman of United Fund for 10 years, and a member of the Board of Directors for Utah Copper.

Survivors: wife, Gay, Copperton; children, Michael V. and Dee, Duluth, Georgia; Richard R. and Raelene, Bountiful; Laural L. Sperry and Rick, Green River, Wyoming; Jan D. and Stanna, Sandy; Brad D. and Marilyn, Riverton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Liechty, Barbara Provost, Cleone Pickering; brother, Floyd.

Thanks to the nursing staff of the University of Utah Hospital for their kind and gentle care.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 7, 1995, at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Copperton, Utah. Rosary and Vigil service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the church, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m and again on Friday, one hour prior to Mass. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Copperton.
