Edna Mae Amerson died as a result of injuries received in a two-car collision at the intersection of Selma and 11-Mile Corner Rds. on March 27, 1960. She was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, J.C. Amerson, owner of Valley Auto Parts stores in Eloy and Maricopa. He suffered a concussion, cuts and bruises in the accident.

Mrs. Amerson, 35, was president-elect of the Eloy VFW Auxiliary.

Funeral services were set for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at the Eloy Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Eloy Memorial Park.

Other survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Clark, and two brothers, Kelly and Alvin Clark, all of Phoenix.

The Amersons were both well-known throughout racing circles in Arizona as drivers and owners of jalopies and other racing cars.
