Mrs. Mat Wolf Died Suddenly Friday Night

Mrs. Ellen Wolf, wife of Mat Wolf, Sr., died at the family home three miles north of Davis last Friday night at 1:30, following a very brief illness. The funeral was held at the grave in Green Hill cemetery Saturday at 5 p.m., services conducted by Rev. S. G. Rogers of Sulphur.

Apoplexy is given as the cause of her death. She was in town Friday and seemed in good health. She took sick about 5 p.m. and lost consciousness about 9 p.m., and death followed a few hours later.

Mrs. Wolf was born at Old Doaksville in the Choctaw Nation and lacked only two days being 73 years of age. She had lived in this section since childhood and had a wide circle of friends. She lived on the old home place where she died, about 50 years. She was a member of the Methodist church and her life was a benediction to those who came in contact with her. Her long life in this community made her many friends, who sorrow at her passing away.

She is survived by her husband and three children – Mrs. Mettie Sadler, Mrs. W. W. Short and Mat Wolf, Jr.
