Eliza was born the daughter of Titus Jones and Lucy Serena Harmon in Morgan County IL.

She married William D. Lindsey on October 31 1866 in Morgan County Illinois after William's Civil War service.

Waverly Journal, Date Unknown

Mrs. Eliza Lindsey, age 82 years, former resident of Waverly, died Thursday afternoon last week, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ada Harris, of Springfield. Deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ada Harris and Mrs. Pearl Miller, of Springfield; and Mrs. Herbert Parker, of Muskogee, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Murray, of Waverly; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Harris, in Springfield, and the body brought to Waverly for burial in East cemetery.
