SEXTON, CHARLES ANDREW - 79, died Sunday morning, May 17, 1998, at the Scott County Hospital. He was born September 7, 1918, and was the son of the late ANDY SEXTON and LULA McCRACKEN SEXTON. He also was preceded in death by one son, CHARLES KENNETH SEXTON; six sisters: EDITH LOVELACE, MYRTLE ELLIOTT, ULDENE HENDERSON, MARIE LEWIS, REBA NEWPORT and RUTH ARDAGNA. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, CORA E. SEXTON; two sons: CLYDE E. SEXTON and wife, MARYANN, from California, and ROBERT WILLIAM SEXTON of Georgia; two stepdaughters: CAROLYN BLAKLEY from New Mexico and CHARLOTTE WINTERMEYER and husband, Dr. KEITH WINTERMEYER, of Florida; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four step-granddaughters and two step-great- grandchildren, and many friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. PHILIP KAZEE officiating. Burial was in the Cooper Memorial Cemetery.
