Chadwick, Ill., March 7 –George F. Hartman, 75, a lifelong resident of Carroll County, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Wilson Nursing Home at Rock Falls.

He was born March 27, 1873, in Fair Haven Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hartman. He conducted a produce station in Chadwick for many years. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. H.K. Schreiner, Miss Lydia and Miss Mary Hartman; and two brothers, Lewis and Conrad Hartman, all of Mount Carroll.

Services were held at 2 p.m. today in the Frank Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Coble of the Lutheran church officiating. Interment was in the Chadwick Cemetery.
