She was born January 16, 1886, north of Keswick, the daughter of George and Rosazilla Lane Axmear. In 1906 she was married to John Rah and he preceded her in death in 1957. They had resided in Delta for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Louise Baughman of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren, Merle G. Wimpsett and Mrs. Pat Slate; four great grandchildren, Wesley and Tonya Wimpsett and Dawn and Dayna Slate; a brother, Frank Axmear of Thornburg; and four sisters, Mrs. Gail Yoakam of Webster, Mrs. Pearl Judd and Mrs. Bertha Faas of What Cheer and Mrs. Neva Whiite of Bellflower, California. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, L.V. Axmear and a sister, Marie Axmear.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 6, at 1 p.m. at the Reynolds Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank L. Greenwood officiating. Mrs. Gene Butler was the organist and Mrs. Willis Jaacks, soloist. Interment was in the Garrett cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Freddie Adams, Dale Axmear, Morris Johnson, Lonnie Stein, Neil Stein and Marvin Yoakam.
