Michael Morna Fall was born near Eddyville, Monroe County, Iowa, July 30, 1854. He died at Jones, Okla., September 21, 1923 -- age 69 years, 1 month and 22 days. Mr. Fall was the son of M. W. and Elizabeth Fall, being the last of eleven children. He was united in marriage to Sarah Beamer of Eddyville, Iowa, Dec. 26, 1875. To this union were born nine girls of whom six remain to mourn the loss. He is survived by sixteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. The family moved to Oklahoma in December, 1890, and settled on a farm 3 miles west of Jones. Here the mother died in December 1909. In 1919 he moved to the home in Jones City where he died. Mr. Fall was found dead in his bed September 27, having apparently passed away while he was asleep. Relatives and his friends thought that he was in Oklahoma City attending the state fair. He is survived by four daughters as follows: Mrs. Inez Couch of Luther, Mrs. May Deal and Mrs. Pearl Proctor of Jones, Mrs. Nettie Bynum of Woodward, Mrs. Susan Lloyd of Luther, and Mrs. Della Haines of Blackwell. He has one niece Mrs. Marion Thompson living at Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He reared the children of his eldest daughter Mrs. Maggie Russell. They are Parker Russell and Mrs. Gwendolia Johnson of Long Beach, California. He was a member of the Christian Church of Jones, also a member of the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodges. Mr. Fall was a loving father, and it was his greatest wish to live near and keep them together. He has a host of friends and neighbors who sympathize with the entire family in their bereavement.
