Lynden Floyd Miller, 79, died Aug. 2, 2009 in Colton, Ore.

He was born May 24, 1930 in Venice of Sevier County, Utah to Clarence Floyd Miller and Laura Mills.

His service will be held Saturday, Aug. 8 with a viewing from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Molalla Chapel. A gravesite service will be held afterward at Colton Lutheran Cemetery. There will also be a gathering at 2 p.m. following the graveside service and everyone is welcome to attend.

LYNDEN "Lynn" FLOYD MILLER

Lynden "Lynn" Floyd Miller, 79, died Aug. 2, 2009 in Colton.

He was born May 24, 1930 in Venice, Sevier County, Utah to Clarence Floyd Miller and Laura Mills.

After school he worked with his father to help support the family. At age 17 he joined the U.S. Army Air Forces and learned his lifelong trade as a diesel mechanic. After three years of military service, he met Aridis Marie Temple, marrying her the following April. He worked at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. until 1963 when he moved his wife and eight children to Colton. In Oregon one more child was born. He lived in Colton with his wife until his passing. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Aridis; seven of his nine children; 28 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Molalla Chapel, with Bishop Birk officiating. Burial was at Colton Lutheran Cemetery. Molalla Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
