Barngrove, Virginia See died peacefully on February 3 at the Vickar's Landing Facility for Seniors in Jacksonville, FL. She was born April 3, 1908 in Plattsburg, MO and raised in St. Louis. She was the only child of a homemaker & teacher. She attended Lindenwood College and the University of Missouri where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was married to the late H. Grant Barngrove and is survived by 1 daughter Fleur Barngrove Hampton and her son-in-law Dr. O. Winston 'Bud' Hampton of Estes Park, CO. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. After her husband's retirement in 1965 the couple moved to Sea Island, GA where they made many new friends and became avid Bridge players. Following her husband's death in 1983, she moved to Vickers Landing where she lived independently until January of 2005 when she entered the Assisted Living Area.Services:There were no services and her remains have been sent to her daughter in Colorado. Memorials in her memory may be sent to the Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairment, 5030 McRee, St. Louis, MO 63110.
