BARNES FUNERAL SERVICES HELD HERE SUNDAY

B. L. "Bud" BARNES, prominent farmer of Ochiltree County, died Friday, December 04 in Petersburg, Texas, while on a visit. Although he had been in poor health for several months, his sudden death came as a shock to his family and friends.

Funeral Services were held at the Full Gospel Church in Perryton on Sunday afternoon with Rev. Homer Coberly in charge. Active pallbearers were Dan ARCHER, Carl ELLIS, Art TOWNSEND, Harvey URBAN, Fred SMITH and Clarence CLEMENT.

Honorary pallbearers were A. J. KELLY, W. B. LaMASTER, Fred TARBOX, Linus TAYLOR, Gould MEARS and Willis HARDY.

BARNES, who was 64 years of age, had farmed in the south part of Ochiltree County for many years.

He is survived by five sons, W. B. of Spearman, Murphy of Menard, Omar of Perryton, Chester of Perryton and Lester of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph PATTISON of Perryton and Mrs. Kenneth DOTY of Houston; a brother, Harry BARNES of Hollis, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Doc HERNDON of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Nell LANE of Wichita, Kansas; and fifteen grandchildren.

Interment was in the Ochiltree Cemetery.
