Bentonville, Ark. - Chester Leroy Barnes, 74 of Bentonville, died April 7, 1999, at his home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1924, in Ochiltree County, Texas, the son of B. L. "Bud" and Annie Laura Robertson Barnes. He was a Bentonville area resident since 1988, moving from Meade.
He belonged to New Hope Church of the Nazarene, Rogers, Ark.
Survivors include: wife, Esther, of the home; two sons; four daughters; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanne Barnes; a daughter; three brothers; a sister; and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, Rogers, with Pastor Richard Leffel presiding. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Partridge Cemetery, Partridge.
Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers, is in charge of arrangements.
