She was born April 9, 1934, in Paden to Matt and Winnie (Davis) Davis. She graduated Shawnee High School. She was a partner in Doyle McCullar Storm Cellars and owned and managed rental properties. On Sept. 23, 1952, she was married to Doyle McCullar in Eureka Springs, Ark. She was a member of Oak Park Church of God, had a real estate license and worked as a legal secretary for the Kienzle Law Firm. She and her husband were frequent participants in local swap meets.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Moses, Mike, Henry, Bud and two sisters, Helen Ward and Ruth Funchess. Survivors include her son, Ben McCullar and wife Kelly of Shawnee; daughter, Nell M. O'Donnell and husband Dan of Mobile, Ala; four grandchildren, Jennifer McCullar Quinlan of Alexandria, Va, 2nd Lt Daniel O'Donnell II of Silver Springs, Md, and Kelly O'Donnell and Samuel O'Donnell of Mobile, Ala; one sister, Nell Mauldin of Shawnee; one brother, Ellis "Red" Davis of Tornillo, Texas.
Service is scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Oak Park Church of God with the Rev. Leroy Kerbo officiating. Family will be at the church at 9:30 am to visit with friends and family. Burial of her ashes will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden at 2 pm. Memorials can be made to Oak Park Church of God.
