NOTE: It has recently been pointed out to me that Sarah's Texas COD shows she was born in 1831. This information was likely given by her son, Micager Bennett. However, the year doesn't appear to be correct according to the following records. Her headstone shows 1837. Censuses show: 1838 (on the 1850), 1839 (on the 1870), 1838 (on the 1880), 1836 (on the 1900), 1837 (on the 1910) & 1837 (on the 1920); widows app shows about 1839. Sarah reported on the 1900 U.S. census that she was born in April 1836. She was a widow at that time so she probably gave that information herself. At the request of Tom Tyler (#47558746), a descendant of Sarah's, I will keep the birthdate on her headstone (April 19, 1837) however this might not be correct!

Sarah Jane Moore first married JOHN A. HENRY "HENRY" ROGERS who was born about 1830 in Alabama. They had two sons, William Robert and John C. "Jack" Rogers. Date of death for Mr. Rogers is unknown but was probably about 1859. On 25 Dec 1860, she married Richmond Oliver Bennett in Trinity County, Texas. They had nine children: Martha Jane, Micayah Y.(McCager), Mary Caroline, Annie Delilah, Nimmie, John Hamlin, Rosa Anna, Henrietta and Richmond Floyd. All her children are linked to her.

Her parents were Delilah Snell & Isaac Moore. NOTE: Delilah must have died before the 1850 U.S. census. Isaac and Delilah's younger children along with Isaac's 2nd wife (Nancy ? Lovelady) and her children named Lovelady are on that census. Isaac and Nancy had one child: Melissa Caroline Moore shown to be age 0 on the 1850 census.
