Choyes A. "Ray" Brannum, 82, of 7726 Dresher Road, Kempton, formerly of East Orange, N.J., died Saturday in his home. He was the husband of Mary J. (Krell) Brannum. They were married 50 years last October.

He was a foreman at the former Auburn Ladder Co., Auburn, before retiring in 1974.

Born in Missouri, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ollie Brannum.

He was a member of Northern Valley Evangelical Free Church, New Tripoli.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Battle of the Buldge.

Survivors: Wife; sisters, Gladys Hilterbrand of Sikeston, Mo., and Mrs. Lucille Wheelis, Mrs. Anna Belle McElroy and Nevaline, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and a brother, Gene Ray of Popular Bluff.
