Florence was the daughter of John "William" Gorbett(1879-1957) and Osie Mae Akers(1881-1908).

Florence was born July 30, 1897 in Jackson County, Indiana.

Florence married Charles H. Anderson in Jackson County, Indiana on November 29, 1914. To this union were born eleven children;

1 Emma "Dolores" (Anderson) Organt
2 Herbert Anderson (died in infancy)
3 Mary Josephine (Anderson) Yeadon
4 Gene Samuel Anderson
5 William Edward "Bill" Anderson
6 Dorothy Carolyn (Anderson) Ruddick
7 Walter Omar Anderson
8 Ilene (Anderson) Hale
9 Irene Anderson (died in infancy)
10 Imogene (Anderson) Creech
11 Norma Jean Anderson (died in infancy)

Florence's husband Charles, father of her eleven children died January 28, 1954. Florence remarried December 20, 1958 to Lincoln A. Callam. Lincoln died December 6, 1962.

Florence apparently didn't think eleven children were enough. She adopted and raised four more children!

My relationship is that Florence was my maternal great-grandmother.
