1930: Residing w dau Alice (Mrs. Leo) Hipskind, 404 West Sixth Street, Peru, Miami County, Indiana. Widowered. Occupation: None.

John ENYEART, 87, former resident of this city and a veteran of the Civil War, died Saturday afternoon at 3 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marie Hipskind, 494 West Sixth Street, Peru. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 from the St. Charles Catholic Church in Peru: Burial is to be made in Falls Cemetery. The Rev. Paul A. Walsh will officiate.

Mr. ENYEART was one of the few surviving members of the James Emmett Post of the G.A.R. He was a member of the 130th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, Company G. in which he enlisted at the age of 16. He served during the last 18 months of the war.

Born in Marion County, January 13, 1847, the greater part of his life was spent in this county. For many years he made his home on a farm near Somerset. December 31st, 1866 he was united in marriage with Mary Elizabeth Allison who died in 1914. After her death he moved to Wabash. At one time he was employed by the city. He made his home here for 24 years; about eight years ago he went to Peru to live. During the past few months he had suffered from a complication of diseases.

Surviving ate the following sons: William of North Manchester, Fred and James of this city, Curtis, of Summit City, Michigan, John of Grand Rapids, Charles and Lawrence of Peru, Frank, of Lafontaine, and the daughter, Mrs. Hipskind. Seven grandchildren, of whom Mrs. William Sharp of this city, is one, and five great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services for John Enyeart was conducted in St. Charles' Catholic church this morning at nine o'clock.

Interment was in Falls Cemetery at Wabash.

Pall bearers were Ralph Hilgeman, Beraman Good. Waiter Lillard. Chester Briggs, Hubert Ashby, and Glenn McNutt.

Flower bears were Mrs. Ralph Hilgeman and Mrs. Hubert Alhby. (services submitted by Captn Nova)
