Charles Dee Anderson
Charles Dee ANDERSON, 96, Peabody Retirement Home, North Manchester, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday at the Wabash County Hospital, Wabash.
He was born in Logansport to William H. and Ella Mae HOWARD ANDERSON. On Dec. 14, 1921, in Rochester, he married Opal FISHER who died Sept. 23, 1982. He was a retired signalman for the Erie Railroad. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rochester, Manitou Moose Lodge, South Bend Scottish Rite, Royal Arch and a 50-year member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. C.E. (Colleen) VAUGHN, Houston, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Lucie SEE, Macy; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were a son, Marvin D. ANDERSON, April 25, 1992; four brothers and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Robert SCHMEISER officiating. Burial will be at the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Rochester Masonic Lodge at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
