Farry Fern Tobey
Death ended an illness of three years early this morning for Farry Fern TOBEY, 68, wife of George TOBEY, at their home on R.R. 1, 4 1/2 miles southeast of Rochester.
Mrs. Tobey was born in the same home where she died, to Francis Marion and Lois E. (SMITH) PORTER, Aug. 9, 1885.
At a ceremony performed in Macy on April 3, 1906, she was united in marriage with George Albert TOBEY, who survives. She was a member of the following organizations: Grace Methodist church; Green Oak club; Mr. Zion club; Mothers’ club; and Rochester Rebakah lodge.
Surviving, besides the husband, are four daughters: Mrs. Millard IDHE, Neenah, Wis.; Mrs. James PAPP, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Arthur THOMPSON, Rochester; Mrs. James ALLAN, Graniteville, Mass., who will be leaving soon to join her husband in Aschoffenburg, Germany; one son, Hugh TOBEY, New Haven; one sister, Mrs. Victor TOBEY, Rochester; one brother, Wayne PORTER, Yamhill, Oregon; twenty-three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Methodist church at 2 p.m. DST Sunday, with the Rev. Charles Merrill SMITH officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF cemetery.
