He was born on May 1, 1938 in Winchester, IL to Charles and Eileen Hoots Angelo. He married Patricia L. Webber on June 16, 1962 in Kewanee, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Eileen Angelo of Monmouth; two sons, Jack Angelo, Jr. and David Angelo both of Abingdon; two daughters, Patricia Hickman of Knoxville and Pamela Lynn of Galesburg; two brothers, Dallas Angelo and William Angelo both of Oklahoma; two sisters, Sue Hammer and Theresa Britton both of Monmouth; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Charles and Robert Angelo and one sister, Barb Gray.
He grew up in Winchester, where he attended school. He later received his GED. He had lived in Abingdon since 1968.
He was a millwright for Corn Products, Pekin Energy and now Williams Ethanol in Pekin for 27 years retiring in 1992.
He served in the US Navy for four years.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Rev. Paul Dinges will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381. The family will receive friends following the service at the Abingdon United Methodist Church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Marigold Health Care Center.
