Born May 20, 1944, in Winchester to Charles and Leona Hoots Angelo, he married Zola Peace on Dec. 19, 1964, in Bowling Green, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Monmouth; a son, C. Michael of Galesburg; three daughters, April Thompson of Wataga, Sandi Angelo of Avon and Suzi Hambrick of East Peoria; four brothers, Jack of Abingdon, Bob of Burlington, Bill of Moore, Okla., and Dallas of Oklahoma City; and two sisters, Sue Rieth of Monmouth and Mrs. Theresa Brinton of Springfield.
One sister preceded him in death.
He worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville as a maintenance welder for 35 years, retiring in October 1998. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 974.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg.
