Anna Perzel Passes Away
Mrs. Anna Perzel, 81, died at 1:30 Sunday morning in her home at 914 N. Jackson St. after being ill for the past few days.
Born Dec. 1, 1886 in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Vajda) Forgatch. She married John Perzel, Nov. 26, 1907 in Streator. The couple had five children, three of which survive.
A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Mrs. Perzel was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society.
She was preceded in death in addition to the two children, by her husband in 1928, parents, two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by John and Mary Perzel of Streator and Mrs. Andrew (Louise) Smetanko, Kangley, all children; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hagi Funeral Home Tuesday between 4 and 9 p.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
She was a resident of Streator for the past 68 years.

Services for Mrs. Anna Perzel, who passed away at her home, 914 Jackson St., Sunday morning, were held Wednesday from the Hagi Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Rev. Paul F. Hartmann, pastor of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Dwight officiated. Edward Kerestes presided at the organ.
Pallbearers were John Koval, George Mital Sr., John Forgach, Andrew Forgach, John Yusko and John Salata. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and relatives attending from a distance were from Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., and Chicago.
