Miss Mary Ellen Welch, 82, of 15 s. Pickel Ave., Washington, N.J., died this morning in Warren Hospital where she was a patient since Monday.
Born in Bloomsbury R. D., N.J., she was a daughter of the late John and Jennie Ulmer Welch. She lived in Washington since 1955. Before that she resided and worked for 30 years at the Glen Gardner Sanatorium. She was employed as a secretary, retiring in 1955.
Miss Welch was on the board of managers while working at the sanatorium and formerly was employed as a secretary to several Phillipsburg lawyers.
She was a member of Greenwich Presbyterian Church and the United Presbyterian Women of the church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Martha Wollman, at home, and Mrs. Anna Pinkerton, Bloomsbury R. D., and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. , Monday at the Rush Funeral Home, Bloomsbury. Interment will be in Greenwich Cemetery.
