John S. Welch, aged 75 years, died last evening at his home in Bloomsbury. He was a son of the late Peter and Elizabeth Snyder Welch, and is survived by seven sons and daughters; John U. Welch, Mrs. Charles Bosenbary, Mrs. Fred Porter, Bloomsbury; Mrs. Charles Hamlen, Stewartsville; Miss Mary Ellen Welch, Mrs. Fred Wollman, and Mrs. Clarence Pinkerton, Glen Gardner; 25 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sister and a brother, Miss Catherine Welch and Mrs. Sarah Stocker, Phillipsburg; Peter Welch, Warren Glen.
Mr. Welch was a member of Greenwich Presbyterian Church, Touchstone Lodge, I.O.O.F., Bloomsbury, and Onoka Tribe, Improved Order of Red Men, Asbury. Funeral services will be conducted at his late home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, daylight saving time, by the Rev. Dr. Charles L. Overstreet and interment will be made in Greenwich cemetery.
