Joseph Paul Patterson, 77, of Brumley died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998 at his home. He was born May 20, 1920 in Ulman to William Wesley and Cora Emma Davenport Patterson. On April 2, 19454 he was married near Tuscumbia to Lucy Evelyn Wilson, who died Feb 14, 1993.
Mr. Patterson was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Tuscumbia First Baptist Church.
Surviving him are four sons, Paul Patterson and Bryan Patterson, both of Tuscumbia, Kelvey Patterson of Jefferson City and John Patterson of Corsicana, Tex.; a daughter, Debby Huddleston of Brumley; three sisters, Wilma Martin of Ulman, Camilla Dake of Iberia and Marie Wilson of Dixon; and four grandchildren.
Two sons, Joseph Patrick Patterson and Bruce James Patterson, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial was in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.
