Almond Davis Colt assumed his Father's undertaker business in Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was very active in politics and in 1911 he was serving as a Councilman for the 7th Ward of Williamsport. That same year he was offered the position of Chief of Police, but he declined.
