SHALLOTTE - Mrs. Maggie Bennett, 84, died Sunday. She was the widow of Bennie Bennett of the Hickman's Crossroads Community. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Andrews Chapel Methodist Church, of which she was a lifelong member, conducted by the Rev. A. D. Hill and the Rev. Harold Pickett. Burial will be in the Bennett cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie B Smith of Wilmington and Mrs. L. C. Norris of Ocean Drive, S. C.; four sons, M. V. of Jacksonville, Fla., E. L. of Beaufort, Loyd of Shalotte and H. C. of Wilmington; 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Arretta Long and a brother, Raleigh, both of Hickman's Crossroads.
