A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at White Rose Cemetery with Dr. Gary Warlick officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 105 ceremonial detail. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Dallas Junior Banks was born March 1, 1924 in Bartlesville to James Wesley and Bertha Pearl (Behner) Banks. When he was three years old his father passed away and his mother married William M. Lemon. Mr. Lemon was the only father Junior ever knew and was proud to call him "Dad."
Junior went to Labadie Heights School and entered the Air Force February 14, 1943. He was a Photographic Laboratory Technician at Eglin Field, FL. He received his Honorable Discharge at Camp Chaffee, AR on February 17, 1946.
Dallas Junior married Miss Anna May Everhart on August 28, 1945 at Independence, KS. He worked for National Zinc Co. supplying them with 35 years of dedicated service.
Dallas Junior is survived by a son, Larry Dallas and wife Janice Banks of Bartlesville and daughter Ermil Irene and husband Harry Stemkowski of Tulsa. One grandson, Dallas D. Banks and granddaughter Carrie Ann Stemkowksi of Tulsa along with two great granddaughters, Jenna and Sydney Banks of Barnsdall. Three sisters; Virginia Byrd, Bertha Morgan and Emma Belle and husband Arthur Doherty all of Bartlesville along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna May, two sisters; Almeda Morgan and Opal Fugate, six brothers; Terrell, Arthur and Ray Banks, Billy Lemon and two infant brothers.
