Farley and Minnie were married in 1924 in the Jefferson Barracks, St.Louis, Mo., by the Army Chaplain. Farley worked at the A.P. Green Fire Brick Company from the time he was a young man until he died. He had worked his way to employment manager. Minnie and Farley did not have any children. After selling their home on West Liberty Street they bought a home on North Clark Street. This is where they lived until Farley died and Mickey was later put into a rest home, Allens, in Mexico, Mo. where she died.

Farley owned a small farm about 15 miles north of Mexico, on a creek, where he loved to go hunting and fishing. He had a black bird dog that was his constant companion when he was not at work.

Farley served on many regular and special committees for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, being particularly active in the field of social legislation. He was also quite active in the work of the Associated Industries of Missouri. He was appointed a deputy sheriff of Audrain County by Sheriff H. Ross Vance in 1954. He also served as a member of the Audrain County selective service board. He worked for the A.P. Green Factory for more than 35 years. He died at the age of 54.
