Josephine Schimmel 67 of Elwood died Sunday at Mercy Hospital. She was born Nov 11,1925 in Elwood the daughter of William and Clista Bell Bolinger Cornwell. She married Harold Schimmel on Nov 10,1972 and he survives. She was a former employee of Ex-Cell-O Corp. and was a member of the Air Force Womens Auxiliary. Other survivors are a son Eddie Cox of Elwood, a stepson Keith Schimmel of Evansville, two stepdaughters Linda Wechler of Anderson and Dawn Shreves of Middletown, a sister Dessie Fisher of Elwood, a brother Robert Cornwell of Orestes, one grandchild, four stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be noon Tuesday at the Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev George Morrisett officiating, burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
