RITES SET FOR MRS. STAFFORD Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Shelbyville Baptist Temple for Mrs.Annabelle Stafford 68, 262 E. Jackson St. who died Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Major Hospital, she had been hospitalized Thursday. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev Bois D. Cuneio officiating. Friends may call at the Murphy Mortuary anytime today and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Temple of which Mrs.Stafford was a member.
Mrs.Stafford was born May 25,1907 in Alexandria the daughter of William and Clista Bolinger Cornwell. On Dec 18,1922 she was married to Clyde Stafford who died Jan 23,1967. Surviving are seven children; Mrs.Ruth McDonal, Mrs.Charles(Mary)Coffey, Mrs.William(Barbara)Elliott,all of Shelbyville; William E. Stafford,Manilla; Mrs.Robert(Dora)Harding,Sarasota Fla. and George Stafford,RR 1 Waldon; 29 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers and sisters; Mrs.Velma E. Kaster,Shelbyville; Mrs.Madaline Massey,Kokomo; Mrs.Dessie Fisher,Elwood; Edward Cornwell,Gary; Floyd Cornwell,Bluffton and Robert Cornwell,Alexandria. Three brothers preceded in death.
