Mrs. Laura B. Maverick, well known in San Antonio's most prominent society, wife of George C. Maverick, and daughter of John R. Blocker, a native Texan and widely known stockman, died at 6:35 o'clock this morning at her residence, 316 Ogden street.
Mrs. Maverick was 23 years of age and was born in Austin, Tex., coming to San Antonio with her parents twenty years ago. She received her primary education in Mulholland's school of this city and later finished in the Drake University of Des Moines, Ia. She was married in 1910 to George Maverick of this city.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Maverick is survived by an infant daughter, Anna, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blocker of this city, two brothers, William B. Blocker of San Antonio and Lane Blocker of Carrizo Springs, Tex., and a sister, Mrs. Lewis, wife of Lieutenant Lewis, stationed at Fort Riley, Kan.
The funeral will be held at 4:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence, Rev. Hugh B. McLellan, pastor of the Central Christian Church, to officiate. Burial will be made in the Dignowity cemetery.
