She was the wife of my uncle, Robert Doughty. They were married September 3, 1885 in Woodburn, Clarke, Iowa.

They left in the late 1800's along with Robert's parents (my great, great grandparents) and his brother to homestead in Nebraska, and remained there the rest of their lives. They made trips back to Illinois to visit the family they left behind--my great grandmother (and her family) who never left Illinois.

I am still researching this branch of the family.

Iva May's husband was my great grand uncle on my Mom's side.
