MRS. OCTIE DOWNS

Mrs. Octie Downs, age 90, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 1986 in Fentress County General Hospital. Mrs. Downs, a homemaker, was born April 11, 1896 in Jamestown, TN.

She married John Cal Slaven. Survivors include three sons: Joe Slaven, Bud Slaven and Kenneth Slaven, all of Jamestown, TN; six daughters: Jean Choate and Evelene Slaven, both of Jamestown, TN; Mary Ellen Zachary, Dorthy Zachary and Francine Roberts all of Anderson, IN; Dottie Wheeler, Ohio; one sister, Lizzie Delk, Indiana; 38 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, September 13, 1986 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Rhoad officiating. Interment in the Livingston Cemetery. Pallbearers include Darrell Slaven, Bill Choate, Charles Roberts, Bill Zachary, Donnie Zachary and

Mrs. Octie Downs, age 90, passed away, Sept 10 in Fentress County. She was a home maker. She was born April 11, 1896.

She is survived by three sons, Joe Slave, Bud Slaven, and Kenneth Slaven all of Jamestown; sis daughters, Jean Choate and Evalene Slaven, both of Jamestown, Mary Ellen Zachary, Dorothy Zachary, and Francine Roberts, all of Anderson, Ind. and Dottie Wheeler of Ohio, one sister Lizzie Delk of Ind., 38 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, and 36 great great grandchildren.
