The daughter of Joseph Anton "Joe " Keim and Rosina "Franciska" Walters, "Rose" married Dr. Frank Charles Baecht on 07 Jan 1896 in Brussels, Calhoun County, Illinois. He began his practice as a physician and surgeon in Brussels the year before their marriage, beginning what was to be a 47 year career in medicine.

Their oldest children were born in Brussels, including a son, Francis, who died in infancy in 1901. In 1902, the Baechts moved to St. Louis for 2 years. Another son, Clarence, was born there in 1903, but the family returned to Brussels in 1904.

Rose suffered from serious health problems for several years. They moved to Stroud, Oklahoma in hopes that her health would improve there, but returned to Brussels 8 years later.

By the time the family returned to Brussels, the Baechts were raising 5 children.

At the time of her death, Rose was 36 years, 4 months and 3 days old. She was survived by her husband, Frank.

He remarried in 1924 and died on 26 Mar 1942 in Jersey County, Illinois, a month before his 78th birthday.
