Mrs. Flora Chapman Services April 27

Last rites for Mrs. Flora M. Chapman, 84, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home April 27 with the Rev. Matthew Martens officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic Cem.. Pallbearers were grandsons, Bob and Tom Peck, Wayne and Warren Chapman and Michael and Jim Fell. Mrs. Judy Rife, Mrs. Gene Elselstein and Crystal Rife were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Carrell Penningroth was organist and George Thordsen was vocalist.

Mrs. Chapman died at Cedar Manor April 23 following an extended illness.

The daughter of William and Marie Grage Wilke, she was born in Chicago, Cook Co., IL, July 25, 1896 and was educated in Chicago and the rural Scott county schools.

She was married to Albert Chapman Oct. 14, 1915. A homemaker, she had lived in Tipton or the surrounding area since 1910. She was a member of the Virginia Grove Circle of King's Daughters and the Mt. Zion Community Workers.

She is survived by a son and a daughter; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Rudolph Wilke, LeGrange, KY and Elmer, Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, a sister, 2 brothers and a grandson.
