Funeral services for Elmer F. Wilke, 78, Tipton, will he held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1990 at Trinity Lutheran church in Tipton, with the Rev. Donald Sondrol officiating. Betty Emrich will sing and Jan Penningroth is the organist. Pallbearers are Raymond Fell, Robert Peck, Doug Emrich, Virgil Wegener, Ralph Wilke and Glen Negergall. Honorary bearers are Pat Jepson and Ed Liercke. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic Cem..

Mr. Wilke died Jan. 27 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

The son of William and Marie Grage Wilke, he was born Feb. 19, 1911 near New Liberty. He attended Tipton area schools and married Joyce Holden Aug. 18, 1950 at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Humboldt.

Mr. Wilke was a farmer and insurance agent. He was a member of the Cedar County Soil Commission for many years.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
