"July 22.---Mrs. Catherine Fero, aged 71, wife of C. B. Fero, deceased, died Sunday, July 14, at 9:30 o'clock at her home at this place, of stomach trouble. She had been in failing health since last fall, but her condition was not considered serious until the last few weeks when she began to fail very rapidly. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Christian church here for 61 years. Mrs. Fero will be missed by her co-workers at the church and also as a kind neighbor. She leaves four children, five grandchildren, and other relatives. The children are John Fero, Charles Fero, of this place; Mrs. Jennie Fonda, of Gloversville and Mrs. Alfred Stoller, of Johnstown; the grandchildren, John and Edward Fonda, Ferne Stoller and Dorothy and Maurice Fero ... Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stephenson, Aaron Vosburgh, Charles Carpenter, Alfred Stoller, of Johnstown and Andrew Fero, of Fort Plain."
