Death Comes Saturday, Feb. 25 at his home in Braidwood; Burial here Monday.

WAS BORN AT ST. ANNE

Jedi Taylor, son of Cyril and Julia Taylor, deceased, was born at St. Anne, Ill., December 23, 1855, and died at his home at Briadwood, Ill., Saturday morning, February 25, 1933, aged 77 years, 2 months and 2 days. He spent his early boyhood in the vicinity of his birth and was educated in the public schools of St. Anne.

At an early age he became interested in construction work, some of the old and reliable buildings of this city having been constructed under his supervision. He also built many of the sidewalks in Momence.

In 1890 he was united in marriage to Millie Schelding, whom he leaves to mourn his passing. He is also survived by ten children: Sherman of Kankakee; Mrs. Bessie Bennett of Terre Haute, Ind.; Mrs. R. L. Shaffer of Joliet; Lester of Momence; Victor and Floyd of Harvey; Theodore, Clyde, Willabelle, Arleen of Braidwood, and Irene, the latter deceased. Twenty-six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers and many other relatives and friends in Momence.

In his passing his family loses a kind and devoted husband and father, and the community a loyal and upright citizen and friend.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from his late home at Braidwood, Rev. R.N. Benton, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Braidwood, officiating,and were largely attended by sympathizing relatives and friends.

The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The casket bearers included the six sons of the deceased. The remains were brought in to this place Monday afternoon for interment in the Momence cemetery.
