Buena Vista Phelps, 87, of Mount Pisgah Road, Supply, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at her home.
She was born March 9, 1920, in Brunswick County, the daughter of the late Harvey and Lovie Fulford Varnam. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Landis H. Phelps and her husband, S. P. "Tebo" Phelp s.
She is survived by a son, David Phelps and wife, Jo Ann, of Supply; a brother, Courtland Varnam of Varnamtown; three sisters, Virginia Norton of Shallotte, Ophelia Lancaster of Varnamtown, Lucille Butterbaugh of Oscela Mills, PA; two grandchildren, Scotty Anderson and Jessica Benton; and one great-grandchild, Syrus Anderson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 11:00 a. m. in Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel by the Rev. Gerald Kirby. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
