Helen Marie Tully, daughter of Eugenia Tully, was born June 20, 1915, on a farm near Alden. After graduating from Alden high school, she attended Hill's Business college in Oklahoma City. She later was employed in the office of Sen. Mike Monroney in Washington, D.C. and for AirCorporation in Oklahoma City and Arlington, TX. She had been working for the Federal Aeronautics Administration in Oklahoma City.

She was the sister of Stephen, George and Robert of Carnegie, James of El Reno, and Lawrence of Apache. Niece of Mrs. W.F. Campbell of Carnegie, Mrs. E.J. Flaherty and Anionette Timmer of Los Angeles.
