Charlotte, called "Lottie", was the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Chambers Baker. Charlotte was raised by her Uncle and Aunt, Walter and Emily "Kate" Chambers in Ilford, Essex, England.

Charlotte's siblings were Percy Edward 1891, Charles 1894, Daisy Annie Rose 1896, Walter, 1899, John Henry "Jack" 1903 and Sarah Rose 1905.

Charlotte's parents were married in 1890 at Chadwell St. Mary, Tilbury, Essex, on 25 December. Charles died 3 April 1907, age 43. Charlotte died 16 July 1908, age 36.

Brother Percy was in the Merchant Marines. He enlisted in the Army and was killed in WWI 30 November, 1917.

Brothers Charles, Walter and John Henry were brought to the Dr. Barnardo Homes orphanage and sent to homes in Canada.

Daisy stayed with her grandparents until her marriage and then emigrated to Canada, as did her sister Sarah Rose.

Lottie was the only member of the family to remain in England although the siblings kept in close touch via letters.

Lottie married 25 Jun 1927 Francis "Frank" John Amott who was born 13 Feb 1902. They lived in Abridge, Essex.

Their children are Georgina, Juliette, and Frances.

Lottie died 13 May 1971 after a brave struggle with cancer. Frank died 5 Jan 1992.
