MRS MARY MOORE DIES
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ARCOLA WOMAN SATURDAY AFTERNOON Arcola, Jan 25
Mrs. Mary W. Moore, a pioneer of Arcola community, died in her home a few miles northwest of Arcola Thursday morning. She had been in ill health for a number of years, but her last illness was about three weeks. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. George Bacon and was born near Bourbon, Feb. 6, 1842. On Dec. 31, 1862 she was married to Jacob Moore and came with him to the Moore farm which has been her home all her married life, except for the few years spent in Champaign. During the past several years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Floyd F. Munson and family on the Moore place. Mr. & Mrs. Moore were the parents of six children, three of whom are living, Rice J. Moore, Wade Moore and Mrs. Fred F. Munson. Those deceased are George B. Moore, Anna Hamilton and Emma Page. Mr. Moore died in 1899. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon by Rev. E. J. Sabin, pastor of Arcola Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery.
