Rupert L. Braswell, I.E. Conductor, succumbs at Hospital

Rupert L. Braswell, 43, Illinois Central conductor who had been in the employ of the company for 20 years, died at 1:45 a.m. today at the I.C. hospital here.

Mr. Braswell was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic church and the Holy Name society. The St. Vincent de Paul society will meet at the residence at 1904 Clay st. at 7 pm for prayer services.

Surviving Mr. Braswell are his widow Mary; a daughter Mary Aline, a sister, Mrs. Joe Green, all of Paducah; two brothers, Tommy Braswell, St. Louis and Richard Braswell, Sledell, La., and five half-brothers, Courtney, St. Louis, Harry, Detroit; Ruel, Evansville and Millard and Walter Braswell, Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the St. Francis de Sales church, with the Father Albert Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Mr. Carmel cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pat H. Ryan, C.A.Henning, Winfred Hough, Houston Sherrill, W.A. Boyd and U.B. Higdon. The body will be at the residence until the funeral hour.
