Well-Known Ithacan Passes Away After Illness of Only a Day – Death Due to Heart Trouble
Mrs. Emily W. Brooks, wife of Frederick W. Brooks, a popular and well known woman and prominent worker in the Congregational church, died unexpectedly this morning at the family home, 202 North Cayuga street, at about 10 o'clock.
Death was the result of heart trouble. Mrs. Brooks was suddenly taken ill yesterday. Over 55 years of age, she leaves her husband, Frederick Brooks, the well known jeweler, a daughter Alice, and a brother Henry Winton of West Buffalo street.
The funeral arrangements will be announced on Monday.
