PERRY CACKLER
Perry Cackler, son of Peter and Susan Cackler, was born in Lucas Co., Iowa June 3, 1867 and died near Oakley, Ia. Feb. 14, 1911, aged 43 years, 8 months and 11 days. Cause of death was hemorrhage of the brain.
He was united in marriage to Miss Cora Rook, of Oakley, on Aug. 21, 1890. To them were born two children, Jessie and Laura, the former dying in infancy.
Besides the wife and daughter, he leaves an aged mother past 84 years old, three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Jurgens, of Des Moines, Mrs. Laura Robinson of Blackwell, Okla., Mrs. Lucinda Roberts, of Sioux City, Ia., and one brother, Chas. D. of Everist, Ia.
His father, two brothers, John and Nelson, and one sister, Jane Ellen have preceded him to the other world. It is with regret that his sisters, Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Robinson were unable to attend the funeral.
Perry Cackler was a man of my acquaintance and having many friends. Congenial, friendly, a kind and helpful neighbor, considerate of others, especially so in more than several ways in consulting their wishes and desires.
His familiar face in our community, his ever friendly and long acquaintance, will not be forgotten. He will be missed by all. J. D. Bourne
